Cloth!

As I stated in my profile, I cloth diaper my 2 boys. I love everything about cloth diapering, and well, I'm an addict! Mainly I use fitted diapers because, they are the cutest, hehe. Hyenacart.com is a wonderful site to check out great diapers from WAHM's (Work At Home Mom's). A favorite of mine is Cloth! is the New Diaper (CND!). These diapers have super long wings which making pining or snappi-ing a breeze. The bamboo velour makes these diapers luxuriously soft ans squishy. Oh, and of course the cute factor of the prints and the colored velour helps also. So check em' out at CND! on Hyena Cart. You can also see the fluffy in action by becoming a fan on facebook!
And I can never resist a good photobomb, so here are my boys in their CND!

ABC's

I was peaking around some of my favorite blogs yesterday and was inspired to create a photo ABC book by Cheri at I am Momma. I really want to start teaching Zai his ABC's, so I thought this would be a fun way for him to learn. I basically just followed Cheri's instructions by uploading the pictures to picnik.com and added the text onto my photos.

I also wanted to share a few pictures from Zai's birthday party this past weekend...

Birthday Boy!

My baby is turning two =( I cant believe how much my life has changed in the last two years! Zai has been such a blessing to my husband and I. Ever since I was a little girl all I've ever dreamed of was being a mommy. Well mommyhood is NOTHING like I had imagined, lol, it really is not a glamorous job. Through all the sleepless nights, spills, laundry, and temper tantrums nothing could replace those first steps, hearing mama, and the endless love complete with hugs and kisses from my biggest fan. I wanted to make Zai a special outfit for him to wear while we celebrate such an amazing day. I embelished a t shirt with the number 2 in a cool construction themed fabric. I also added a cement truck and dump truck on the sleeves.

I then used this tutorial to make a cool birthday "crown" for the big day. I just added the number 2 instead of a star.

I will update later with action pictures =)

Fleece Fun!

I officially FAIL at blogging, lol. I knew there was a reason I never set one up earlier! Any how, I havent done too many projects since I last posted a month ago until recently. I made Zeke a fleece soaker using the Katrina pattern (find it here). It was super easy, and it actually turned out the way it was suppose to!

Next I decided to tackle Katrina's pattern for fleece longies. I was surprised how simple these were too. Actually they were faster than the soaker in my opinion. I added a little twist to it and made them into footies. I had a pattern for some soft soled shoes (think Robeez), so I used the sole and toe portion of that patern and sewed them onto the longies. Success, well kinda. They do need some tweaking, but look super cute on =)

Who Me?

Wow, I have a blog?!?! Seriously, I dont write much, so I never pictured myself as one to have a blog, but here I am =) I really didnt create this blog to write much, but I wanted a place where I could document my progress of various crafts I am working on. So what's with the name you ask? I choose Creating Creative because I dont generally think of myself as a creative person. I know there is creativity in me somewhere, but I feel like I am forcing it out of myself. Luis bought me a sewing machine as my Christmas present, now I just need to figure out how to sew =P I am also teaching myself to knit, so I have lots to keep me busy.

I have made a few things so far with my sewing machine. I made Zeke a taggie monster and a taggie blanket...

I have also loomed Zeke a hat:
